Gordon Joins Mountain Valley Bank as Assistant Controller

Barbara Gordon has joined Mountain Valley Bank as Assistant Controller, bringing strong technical, analytical and organizational skills to her position.  Prior to beginning her career in banking, Gordon spent over thirty-five years in the healthcare industry, where she gained significant accounting, finance and managerial experience.  Gordon is a 2012 graduate of Daytona State College with a BS in Business Administration.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Business and Strategic Leadership from Amberton University.  In 2018, Gordon attended the Halifax Health Leadership Academy program and earned her leadership certification.  Prior to moving to West Virginia, Gordon resided in New Smyrna Beach, FL and now resides in Montrose with her husband Richard.  She is the daughter of John and Patricia Murphy of Joliet, IL.
